I adore this blog!

Take a look... I would love to copy some of these dresses into real patterns for my own clothes!

This design reminds me a bit of the gypsy style with a russion flair...what do you think? It's very pretty!

When I was younger I used to fall asleep designing fancy women's gowns in my head, but I could never quite put them on paper - isn't that strange? I don't even "design"...other than my crocheted bees that I crochet freestyle ;-)

Have a wonderful day,

It reminds me of the dresses the fairies wear (only theirs are usually shorter) in the some of the paintings I have seen (can't recall the artist's name). I love them-- very feminine.

It also reminds me of the dresses the Elf ladies ("She-elves") or Eowin, Princess of Rohan, wore in the 'Lord of the Rings' movies: feminine, soft, flowing and (mostly) modest.

I long for a world where being feminine is more acceptable. If (when) I wear long flowing dresses into the grocery store, I get looked at like I am from another planet!

I first started drawing dresses after I saw 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Anne of Green Gables.' I loved the lace and puffs! Most of my drawings began with an idea for a dress. And a person was added last!

I will try to include some of drawings in future posts if I can ever get my scanner to co-operate!
