It is too bad that this photo is damaged. I love her hair. I wonder-- did she use a curling iron (the kind you warmed on a wood stove) or did she braid it and it was like this when she took it out? I don't think it could have been that way naturally. She must have been very proud of her hair--- Most women would have worn it up. Or perhaps she is younger than I am guessing, and still wore her hair down. My hair isn't this long yet. But it has been before.... and I know it will be again (Lord willing!) I love thinking back to when it was considered GOOD for a woman to be feminine. When it was praised -- not like now --when we are expected to be like men... or our men are expected to be more "gentile."
