Tunisian Scarf Done-- how to keep Tunisian Crochet from Curling!

>> Wednesday, April 8, 2009

Awhile back I blogged about a class I was taking at Crochetville
TUNISIAN CROCHET WITH A DOUBLE-ENDED HOOK ON THE VERTICAL.

This is the finished scarf

A close up of the stitches.

I had never worked on a double ended hook before so this was a lot of fun. I love trying new techniques!

The pattern was alternating Tunsian Simple Stitch and Tunsian Reverse Stitch. It was supposed to have bobbles in it too, but I decided not to add them... SO I wouldn't have to do any counting and could crochet while homeschooling my little ones.

The Reverse stitch is a wonderful addition to my learning! It has the wonderful effect of causing your tunisian NOT to curl! From now on when I crochet tunisian, my first row or two will be a reverse stitch.
