Little Acts of Faith

>> Tuesday, March 10, 2009

My husbands job is slowing down. That is the cold hard truth. The boss sent him home early yesterday because they didn't have any work. What is he going to do today? We don't know. But we didn't change any thing we are doing. We followed Daniel's example and kept on with our routine, trusting that God would take care of the rest. He got up and left at normal time. I made him a lunch and kissed him good-bye. God has ALWAYS provided for us. Why should today be any different. I wispered a prayer as he pulled out of the drive way. Afterall the Scripture says that we have not because we ask not.

Lord, I believe you will provide.

My father used to sing me a song based on this verse. It remains a reminder that God will always provide.

Hubakkuk 3:17-18 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (KJV)
