Crochetville Classes

>> Monday, March 16, 2009

My blog has been silent the past few days. I have been busily participating in a class at Crochetville. The class that I am taking is TUNISIAN CROCHET WITH A DOUBLE-ENDED HOOK ON THE VERTICAL (the finished product will be a scarf). The teacher is Kim Guzman. She has been very sweet in helping us (her students). She has created some beautiful patterns and I am looking forward to being able to put these techniques that I am learning this week to use on other projects in the future.

Here is my swatch:

It only took me three swatches to get it right! Part of the problem was I that, because I had done Tunisian before, I thought it would be easy to catch on, but it was harder than I expected! Not hard, as much as confusing... it took some of the stuff I already knew and used it in a different way. I was trying to do it the my way instead of actually following the directions!

The class will go for the rest of the week. If you don't see me here, at least you know where I am!
